The Myths at Nightfall Pipeline (YouTube API client)

The channel owner runs a private software tool, called the Myths at Nightfall Pipeline, that uses YouTube API Services to publish the channel's own videos and read the channel's own statistics. This section explains what that tool does with data.

Who uses it. Only the channel owner. It has no other users, no accounts, no sign-in, and no public interface.

What it accesses. With the owner's authorization, the tool uses the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API to upload the owner's videos, set their thumbnails and descriptions, and read aggregate performance statistics (views, watch time, subscribers) for the owner's channel. It does not access any other channel, any viewer's personal data, or any comment author's information.

What it stores. Video identifiers, upload responses, and aggregate channel statistics, kept on the owner's own computer. Authorization tokens are stored locally and never shared. Nothing is stored on third-party servers by this tool.

What it shares. Nothing. No data is sold, shared, or used for advertising.

Data retention and deletion. Stored data (video identifiers, upload responses, and aggregate statistics) is kept only as long as it is useful for running the channel and can be deleted by the owner at any time by deleting the local files. Authorization tokens are deleted when the owner revokes the tool's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions; the tool then holds no YouTube data it can use. Nothing is retained on any server operated by this tool.

YouTube API Services. This tool uses YouTube API Services and, in doing so, agrees to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Users are also subject to the Google Privacy Policy.
